YLG Education Forum on Finance – Register Early…Space is Limited!
John Chun

The focus of this workshop will be on commercial real estate finance presented by John Chun, Investment Director at Hanover Financial Company. Hanover Financial Company is a joint venture capital source for real estate investors and developers, providing creative financial solutions in the development, acquisition, and repositioning of real estate. Mr. Chun will teach basic financing concepts, valuation methods of commercial real estate, and difference between debt and equity financing.

This workshop will benefit individuals who are just beginning their careers in commercial real estate and individuals that are unfamiliar with commercial real estate financing. Immediately following the presentation, a panel of real estate professionals will discuss their roles in the finance structure.

  • Chris Grey, Managing Director
    Emigrant Realty Finance - Emigrant provides senior or subordinate, secured or unsecured, financing for all real estate asset types, both existing and new construction, and real estate operating companies. Since 2005 Emigrant has booked over $2.2 billion of investments with a target of $1.7 billion for 2007.

  • Rob Butchenhart, Vice President
    Lehman Brothers - Lehman Brothers' Global Real Estate Group provides advisory and lending services to commercial real estate owners, investors and developers in the US, Europe and Asia. Lehman provides a variety of services to real estate owners, investors and developers, including: Real Estate Investment Banking, Commercial Mortgage Lending and Equity, Lines of Credit, Securitization and Syndication Services.

  • Peter Hilikas, Vice President
    Newmark Realty Capital - Newmark Realty Capital, Inc. is a full service mortgage banking firm with a strong lineup of correspondent lenders, utilizing Newmark's production, closing and servicing capabilities. Newmark is currently staffed by over 50 employees in seven regional offices.

Directions

From downtown:

  • Take the 10 Fwy West
  • Exit Washington Blvd.
  • Turn Left at the light on Washington

  • Parking is valet only, but will be available at the West ramp on Sherbourne (pass the building and turn right on Sherbourne)

From Santa Monica:

  • Take the 10 Fwy East
  • Exit Robertson
  • Continue straight on Robertson until Washington Blvd.
  • Turn Left on Washington Boulevard until 8609 Washington (2 blocks East of Helms Ave)
  • For valet parking, turn left on Sherbourne, and right at the ramp.

From the West Side, non-freeway:

  • Take Venice Blvd. East
  • Turn right at Cattaraugus
  • Right on Washington Blvd (SPF:a is on the corner of Cattaraugus and Washington)
  • Take the next right at Sherbourne Drive to enter the building's valet parking garage.

From Beverly Hills:

  • Take Robertson Blvd. South
  • Turn Left on Cattaraugus
  • Right on Washington Blvd (SPF:a is on the corner of Cattaraugus and Washington).
  • Take the next right at Sherbourne Drive to enter the building's valet parking garage.

Parking:

Valet parking is $4.50 per car in the parking garage. There is street parking in the surrounding neighborhood.
