Join us for the debut of FutureBuild Los Angeles. FutureBuild LA brings together experts, service professionals, vendors, and customers in the sustainable real estate sector in Los Angeles.

Program Overview

FutureBuildLA 2009 is the first in what will be an annual conference and exposition bringing together developers, financiers, builders, law professionals, policy makers, planners, politicians, product innovators, building owners and operators, utilities, and other land use and real estate professionals, to explore sustainability from concept to execution. Through a series of panel discussions, workshops, case studies, seminars and roundtables, FutureBuildLA promises to create a dynamic forum and foster dialogue allowing participants to explore:

• The future of development within the changing regulatory and entitlement process due to climate change and global warming
• The connection between transportation, green infrastructure, incentives, financing, LEED accreditation, building design, building operation and your bottom line
• Sustainable technology: what it is, what can it do, what does it cost
• Networking with green manufactures, regulators, investors, and other sustainable professionals

What makes FutureBuildLA unique is its intent to promote an open exchange of ideas, information and experiences between attendees and local, national and international industry leaders and policy makers. These parties will discuss methods of pursuing financially viable development and redevelopment opportunities according to current sustainable practices. What does the future hold and how do we prepare? What does sustainable mean? What does it cost? Is it cost effective? What are the latest best management practices? These are a few of the questions you should come prepared to explore.
