June 2008 Economic Outlook + Real Estate Conference
June 18, 2008
What Will It Take To Get Real Estate Moving Again?
7:00 am – 12:00 pm Ackerman Grand Ballroom UCLA Los Angeles, CA 90095
A hot housing market just a few years ago gave us very high rates of appreciation, easy access to mortgages, lots of buying and lots of building. Today we have the complete opposite: declining home prices, troubled finance, skyrocketing foreclosures, very little buying and very little building. When is the bottom going to occur and what will get Real Estate healthy again? Should our governments focus their attention on foreclosures, on new mortgages, on builders or buyers? Which government interventions will make things better, and which will make things worse?
