The Coachella Valley: The Last Urban Frontier? ULI LA's Executive Program Committee Chair for FY 08, David Waite from Jeffers Mangels Butler & Marmaro LLP participated in a program last year with ULI Inland Empire that focused on development issues in the "urbanizing" Coachella Valley. ULI-IE is doing a similar program this year. Because of his work in that region over the last few years, he is involved in this year's program as well.

Many of the Coachella Valley resort, MPC, commercial and retail developments have some connection to the Los Angeles region, whether because of Los Angeles based developers, financiers, commercial lenders, architects, engineers or other design professionals. For that reason, a significant portion of last year's program attendees were from the Los Angeles region. Perhaps some of you would like to attend this year's program taking place on November 7, 2007 at the Westin Mission Hills Resort in Rancho Mirage.
