Public Private Partnerships: Not Just About Big Projects and Big Players

September 24, 2003

The conversion of the Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo into a state-of-the-art defense research facility in exchange for property being used for housing is a case study example of how public-private partnerships can preserve jobs and create economic growth.

Learn how special legislation was expedited, how annexation/deannexation tools were used, how public and private financial sources were utilized, and how neighboring communities and stakeholders worked together.

Learn about replicable tools and deal structures from the Mare Island, and Hunters Point, and other projects that developers and communities can use for other partnerships, small and large.
