Myth Busting: Borrowing from a Portfolio Lender vs. a Securitized Lender

May 22, 2003

The ULI Los Angeles District Council and the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association (CSMA) -- the international trade organization for the commercial mortgage-backed securities industry -- will conduct a moderated discussion regarding the myths and realities surrounding securitized financing of commercial property. The commercial mortgage-backed securities industry represents nearly $50 billion in real estate transaction volume in the U.S. Additionally, securitization is accounting for an ever-increasing share of the conventional commercial and multifamily mortgage market. Learn from an investment banker, a portfolio lender, a ‘B’ piece buyer, and other lending experts what the provocative issues are.
