CASE STUDIES Discover how the Adams West project in South Central LA, Pine Square project in Long Beach, Hollywest project in Hollywood, and Aliso Village project in East LA are providing vitally-needed public and market-rate housing and community services proximate to public transportation. The completed Adams West project in South Central Los Angeles by The Bedford Group includes 52 units of senior housing with 13,000 sq. ft. of retail (of which 10,000 sq. ft. is a supermarket). The completed Pine Square project in downtown Long Beach includes housing and movie theater. The Hollywest project at Hollywood Boulevard and Western Avenue is a $37-million mixed-use project by MacFarlane Partners, with 120,000 sq. ft. of retail and senior housing, located at the Hollywood and Western MTA transit stop. The Aliso Village HOPE VI Revitalization Project, a joint venture of the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, McCormick, Baron, Salazar and Associates, and the Related Companies of California has renovated a nearly 60 year-old project of 685 units on 34.3 acres of land which had become obsolete and presented a danger to residents due to structural deficiencies at the time it was demolished. The new development will provide for 132 units of public housing, 242 units of tax credit rental housing, 66 market rate homes, 27 home built with HUD funds to be sold to public housing income-eligible families, and 50,000 sq. ft. of retail. The project is located near a rail stop in East Los Angeles. ROUNDTABLES Roundtable hosts will include lenders, attorneys, brokers, planners, architects, service providers and local planning department representatives. Roundtable participants will have the opportunity to listen to expert advice on their specific problems or concerns during six 15-minute rotation periods among individual tables.
